Jason came for a visit. We had a great time seeing new sites and visiting historical places.
We went to Grey Abbey.
There was an amazing cemetery. This is not too far from Portaferry where some of our ancestors lived.

Inside the Abby.

We enjoyed the nice weather and stopped at a beautiful beach where we had a great picnic lunch from the local chippie......pasties, hamburgers, fish, chips, chips, chips........and more chips!
(we ended up giving some to the seagulls).

The water was actually warmer than we thought it would be. There were even a few people swimming, which you don't see much in Ireland.....

Castle Ward
Saint Patrick's grave.

Dumdrum Castle. If you look real close you can see Jason standing on the top........

Inch Abbey in the Irish mist......
Jason in the Irish mist........

The next day we went to Patterson's Spade Mill.

We got there about an hour before it opened so we didn't go through the tour. Too many other places to go......they have been making spades for many years. Dig those Irish spuds!
