The past two weeks have been full of different emotions. We continue to have our lives centered around little Jasper who is still at Children's hospital. He went through his second heart surgery on Wednesday and is now on a ECMO life support machine. He is such a sweet little baby and we love him so much already. We are so thankful and grateful for all the prayers, thoughts, cares and blessings that have come our family's way. When things look so bleak in the world, it is nice to be reminded that there are so many good things and good people.
This morning Birch and I were invited to attend a missionary meeting with Elder L.Tom Perry of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. It was a wonderful training meeting. He took time to shake hands with each of us and the missionaries there. Elder Packer of the Seventy was also there, along with Elder Hansen, the area authority. We always love being in the presence of the full time missionaries. Elder Perry has such enthusiasm for missionary work!
We have decided to hold off a few months on our full time mission. We are going to continue working here in the Mission office until October 1st. We will keep updating as time goes by. Lots of decisions to make in life. Where's the itinerary??????
Jana, Tony and Kade are living with us for the summer. It's so fun to have them here. We do enjoy having people in the house. We are looking forward to Jason coming in July!
