Hello Amigo!

Yesterday we had a fun day. We went to Omagh with the Elders for District meeting. Omagh is over an hour away so we enjoyed chatting with the elders, listening to good music and enjoying the scenery. It was foggy when we left, but the sun came out and it was a beautiful day. We met the Omagh elders at the church and had a good meeting with some good instruction from Elder Watt. We then had to conduct "Flat" inspections....I had to remind myself that these are 20 year old boys...but overall, their flats were pretty clean! On our way home we stopped at Brother Donnelly's Farm to give him a birthday card and cookies!

Brother Donnelly is an amazing man with a wonderful conversion story. He is quite a collector as you can see in the pictures! He has EVERYTHING on his farm! During the troubles, he was in 3 different bombings. The worst one he almost died. He had a glimpes of the spirit world and saw two of his friends, who had passed away dressed in black. He also saw many people dressed in white. A few years later, when he heard about the church in England, he realized the gospel was true and needed to baptize his friends in the spirit world. He has gone to the temple and has done the work for them. He has a very strong testimony, even though he suffers much persecution from friends and family in his very Catholic community.

I love going to his farm! There is so much to see.

Saturday, we went to Crawfordsburn, where Great, great, great, great Grandpa McDonald joined the church. We ate at the The Old Inn that has been there since 1614! Of course it's been remodeled several times! The food was great!

This is the town. The whole town.... There was a fun gift shop across the street..... that's about it!

Just down the road a bit is the Crawfordsburn Park. We had a nice time walking around and enjoying the nice day.

Friday was my birthday and it turned out to be a great day. The elders made this Banafee Pie for me and we shared it with the Bridgewaters and Roberta after we gave a lesson.

When we got home there was a bunch of roses on the doorstep. We had gone visiting a member who also had a birthday that day. When we got there, a less-active sister was there that we had been trying to meet. We had such a good visit with her. She is such a wonderful person and hopefully we can help her and her family come back to church. She was the one who left the roses for me! The people here are so caring and good to us! We celebrated again Sunday with a little family and again Monday night at FHE!
